Location (classical)
On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the inferior border of the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra (T3).
How to find it (practical)
Seated with the neck flexed, locate the point below the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to Shen Zhu (GV-12).
Anatomy
Trapezius, rhomboid major, and erector spinae muscles.
Needling
0.5 cun, perpendicularly or in an oblique medial-caudal direction.
Etymology
Fei (肺), lung; Shu (俞), point. Place where the Qi of the Fei (Lung) reaches the back.
