In the lumbar region, below the spinous process of the lumbar vertebra and 3.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline. (Fig. 12.11)
How to find it (practical)
In dorsal decubitus, locate the point 3.5 cun lateral to the lower margin of the spinous process of the first lumbar vertebra.
