How to find it (practical)
In dorsal decubitus, locate the point in the first intercostal space, at the midpoint between the sternal and midclavicular lines, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Anatomy
Pectoralis major muscle. 1st intercostal nerve.
Needling
Transverse-oblique insertion, 0.5–0.8 cun.
Etymology
Yu (彧), exuberance; Zhong (中), middle. The point lies near the Fei (Lung), the place where the Qi of the Fei (Lung) is exuberant.
