On the medial side of the leg, 2 cun superior to KI-3, 0.5 cun anterior to KI-7, posterior to the medial border of the tibia.
How to find it (practical)
Seated or in dorsal decubitus, locate the point 2 cun above Tai Xi (KI-3) and 0.5 cun anterior to Fu Liu (KI-7), or at the midpoint between Fu Liu (KI-7) and the posterior border of the tibia.
Anatomy
Flexor digitorum longus and tibialis posterior muscles. Innervated by the saphenous nerve and the tibial nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.
Etymology
Jiao (交), crossing; Xin (信), faith. Xin is one of the Five Moralities (benevolence, loyalty, courtesy, intelligence, and faith), belongs to Earth, and is connected to the Pi (Spleen). It is the Crossing point with the Spleen-Pancreas Meridian, Foot Tai Yin, at San Yin Jiao (SP-6).
