SI-7 Zhizheng (支正) — Branch of the Meridian

On a line connecting Yanggu SI-5 and Xiaohai SI-8, 5 cun proximal to Yanggu SI-5, in the groove between the anterior border of the ulna and the muscle belly of the flexor carpi ulnaris.

With the elbow flexed and the palmar surface facing the chest, locate the point 5 cun above Yang Gu (SI-5), on the medial border of the ulna, on the line connecting Yang Gu (SI-5) and Xiao Hai (SI-8).

Flexor carpi ulnaris muscle. Innervated by the medial cutaneous nerve of the forearm and the ulnar nerve.

Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun. The point should be needled with the patient supine, with the arm supinated or resting on the chest.

Zhi (支), divergence; Zheng (正), Regular Meridian. The Collateral of the Hand Tai Yang Small Intestine Meridian leaves this point for the Hand Shao Yin Heart Meridian. [Classified] Luo (Connecting) point of the Hand Tai Yang Small Intestine Meridian.
