Precautions
Do not treat.
Location (classical)
On the chest, in the fourth intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, directly at the center of the nipple.
How to find it (practical)
Seated or supine, locate the point in the middle of the fourth intercostal space, at the center of the nipple (in males).
Anatomy
Breast/nipple tissue.
Needling
CONTRAINDICATED. Neither needling nor moxibustion is applied at this point. It serves strictly as an anatomic reference for measurement.
Etymology
Ru (乳), breast; Zhong (中), center. The point lies at the center of the nipple.
