Precautions
Avoid the femoral artery, which lies lateral to this point.
Location (classical)
On the medial aspect of the thigh, 3 cun inferior to ST-30, on the lateral border of the adductor longus muscle.
How to find it (practical)
In dorsal decubitus, first locate Qi Chong (ST-30). Locate the point 3 cun immediately below Qi Chong (ST-30).
Anatomy
Adductor longus and adductor brevis muscles. Innervated by the obturator nerve and by the genitofemoral nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.
Etymology
Zu (足), foot; Wu (五), five; Li (里), measure of length.
