📍 Location (classical)
In the inguinal region, 3.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline, at the level of the upper border of the pubic symphysis (CV-2), lateral to the femoral artery.
🔬 Anatomy
Aponeurosis of the external oblique muscle. Innervated by the femoral nerve.
💉 Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.
📜 Etymology
Chong (冲), pulse; Men (门), gate. At this point the pulsation of the femoral artery can be palpated. Here, the Qi of the Spleen-Pancreas Meridian, Tai Yin of the Foot, reaches the abdomen, as if passing through a gate.
