On the chest, in the first intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
How to find it (practical)
Seated or supine, locate the point on the vertical line through the nipple, at the middle of the first intercostal space.
Anatomy
Pectoralis major and minor muscles, intercostal muscles. Pectoral nerves.
Needling
Transverse-oblique insertion along the intercostal space 0.5–0.8 cun.
Etymology
Ku (庫), storehouse; Fang (房), room. Because the point lies near the breast, it stores fluids and nutrients that can be transformed into milk.
