How to find it (practical)
Seated, with the knee flexed, locate the point 3 cun above the superolateral border of the patella.

Tendon of the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis. Innervated by the femoral nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion 1.0–1.5 cun.
Etymology
Yin (阴), genital region; Shi (市), garment that covers the genital area. The point lies at the inferior border of this ancient undergarment.
