On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra (T3). At the same level as BL-13 (Lung Shu).
🧭 How to find it (practical)
Seated with the back flexed or in prone decubitus, locate the point in the depression below the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra — that is, at the intersection of the posterior midline with the line passing through the spines of the scapulae.
Shen (身), body; Zhu (柱), pillar. The point is located between the Shu points of the Fei (Lung) (Fei Shu, BL-13). It means "pillar of the body" and is associated with Lung Qi.
