How to find it (practical)
In dorsal decubitus, locate the point in the fifth intercostal space, at the midpoint between the sternal and midclavicular lines, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Anatomy
Pectoralis major muscle. 5th intercostal nerve.
Needling
Transverse-oblique insertion, 0.5–0.8 cun.
Etymology
Bu (步), lateral; Lang (廊), corridor. The Qi of the Kidney Meridian, Foot Shao Yin, ascends to the chest, one on each side, from this point.
