How to find it (practical)
With the palm of the hand facing down, locate the point on the ulnar border of the hand, above Hou Xi (SI-3), in the depression between the base of the fifth metacarpal bone and the hamate bone.
Anatomy
Origin of the abductor digiti minimi muscle. Innervated by the dorsal branch of the ulnar nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Etymology
Wan (腕), wrist; Gu (骨), bone. The point lies between the bones of the wrist.
