Supine, locate the point 5 cun above the umbilicus and 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Rectus abdominis muscle. Intercostal nerves.

Perpendicular insertion 0.5–1.0 cun.
Etymology
Cheng (承), to receive; Man (满), full. The name of this point reflects the function of the Wei (Stomach).
