Location (classical)
On the lower abdomen, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline, 2 cun below the umbilicus (level of CV-5).
How to find it (practical)
Supine, locate the point 2 cun below the umbilicus and 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Anatomy
Rectus abdominis muscle. Innervated by the 11th intercostal nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion 1.0–1.5 cun.
Etymology
Da (大), great; Ju (巨), huge. The point lies at the largest prominence of the abdominal wall.
