Location (classical)
On the dorsum of the hand, in the depression just proximal to the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joints of the 4th and 5th fingers.
How to find it (practical)
With the palmar surface facing down, locate the point 1 cun below Ye Men (TE-2), in the depression posterior to the 4th and 5th metacarpals.
Anatomy
Fourth dorsal interosseous muscle. Innervated by the dorsal branch of the ulnar nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.3–0.5 cun.
Etymology
Zhong (中), middle; Zhu (渚), small portion of land in the water. The point lies in the middle of the Five Shu Points and the Qi of the meridian flows like water along the banks.
