Grip Strengthening with Ball

StrengthenBeginner

Strengthens the wrist and finger flexors. Restores the flexor-extensor balance essential to functional recovery in epicondylitis.

How to perform

  1. Starting position. Hold a soft rubber ball (a stress ball works) in the affected hand.
  2. Step 2. Squeeze the ball with maximum tolerable force.
  3. Step 3. Hold the contraction for 5 seconds.
  4. Return. Relax completely for 5 seconds and repeat.

When not to perform

  • Intense pain during the grip
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome in an acute phase
