Location (classical)
On the sacrum, 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline, at the level of the second posterior sacral foramen.
How to find it (practical)
In ventral or lateral decubitus, locate the point below the second sacral vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline.
Anatomy
Gluteus maximus muscle and tendon of the erector spinae.
Needling
Perpendicular or slightly oblique insertion, 0.8–1.2 cun.
Etymology
Pang Guang (膀胱), Bladder; Shu (俞), point. Place where the Qi of the Pang Guang (Bladder) reaches the back.
