On the forehead, 1 cun superior to the middle of the eyebrow, directly above the pupil when the eyes are looking straight ahead.
How to find it (practical)
Seated, with the head at rest, locate the point 1 cun above the midpoint of the eyebrow.
Anatomy
Frontalis muscle. Innervated by the supraorbital nerve (branch of the trigeminal).
Needling
Transverse (subcutaneous) insertion directed inferiorly or toward neighboring points, 0.3–0.5 cun.
Etymology
Yang (阳), Yang of Yin-Yang; Bai (白), white, brightness. Yang brightness in the frontal region of the head.
