Precautions
Avoid the ulnar artery and the ulnar nerve.
Location (classical)
0.5 cun proximal to the palmar wrist crease, radial to the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris. On the posterior ulnar aspect of the palm, 5 fen above the transverse wrist crease and 5 fen below HT-5.
How to find it (practical)
With the palm facing up, locate the point on the border of the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle, 0.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease.
Anatomy
Skin, subcutaneous tissue, median antebrachial vein, medial cutaneous branch of the forearm, palmar branch of the ulnar nerve, ulnar artery and nerve, radial border of the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris, and the ulna.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.3–0.5 cun.
