📍 Location (classical)
On the palmar aspect of the forearm, on the radial border of the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle, 1 cun proximal to the wrist crease (HT-7).
🧭 How to find it (practical)
With the palm facing up, locate the point on the radial side of the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle, 1 cun proximal to the wrist crease.
🔬 Anatomy
Radial to the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle. The collateral diverges and connects to the base of the root of the tongue and to the eye connector.
💉 Needling
Perpendicularly 0.3–0.5 cun, or obliquely 0.5–1 cun in a proximal or distal direction. Alternatively, up to 0.5 cun perpendicularly.
📜 Etymology
Tong (通), conducted to; Li (里), meeting of Qi. Communication point with the Small Intestine Meridian.
