Location (classical)
Seated or in dorsal recumbency. A pair of points in the anterior antebrachial region, on the same transverse plane as Nei Guan (PC-6): one between the tendon of the flexor carpi radialis muscle and the radius; the other between the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle and the ulna.
Anatomy
Skin, subcutaneous tissue, antebrachial fascia. Radial point — between the tendon of the flexor carpi radialis muscle and the tendon of the brachioradialis muscle; more deeply, the radial head of the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle, the flexor pollicis longus muscle, and the pronator quadratus muscle. Superficial layer: cephalic vein, lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve, superficial branches of the radial nerve. Deep layer: radial artery and veins, radial nerve with its branches or tributaries, branch of the median nerve. Ulnar point — between the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris muscle and the ulna, tendon of the flexor digitorum superficialis muscle; more deeply, the tendon of the flexor digitorum profundus muscle and the pronator quadratus muscle. Superficial layer: anterior branch of the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve, tributaries of the basilic vein. Deep layer: ulnar artery, ulnar veins, and ulnar nerve with their branches or tributaries, branch of the median nerve.
