Precautions
Deep insertion may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
Location (classical)
In the lower abdomen, on the anterior midline, 1 cun inferior to the umbilicus.
How to find it (practical)
In supine decubitus, locate the point 0.5 cun above Qi Hai (CV-6), or 1 cun below the umbilicus.
Anatomy
Linea alba. Innervated by the tenth intercostal nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.

Yin (陰), Yin of Yin-Yang; Jiao (交), crossing.
