In the lower abdomen, on the anterior midline, 1.5 cun inferior to the umbilicus.
Anatomy
Linea alba. Innervated by the eleventh intercostal nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.
Etymology
Qi (氣), Qi; Hai (海), sea. The point is located below the umbilicus; it is the sea of the Qi of the body.
