Location (classical)
On the lower abdomen, 1 cun below the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline (at the level of CV-7).
How to find it (practical)
In dorsal decubitus, locate the point 1 cun below the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline, at the level of Yin Jiao (CV-7).
Anatomy
Rectus abdominis muscle. 10th intercostal nerve.
Needling
Perpendicular insertion, 0.5–1.0 cun.
Etymology
Zhong (中), middle; Zhu (注), to flow. Through this point, the Qi of the Kidney Meridian, Foot Shao Yin, together with the Qi of the Chong Mai, flows to the uterus.
