Precautions
Needle slowly and perpendicularly 1 to 1.5 cun from the lower outer to the upper inner direction, along the infraorbital margin toward the optic foramen. Manipulation of the needle is not permitted. Moxibustion is prohibited.
Location (classical)
On the face, at the junction of the lateral one-fourth and the medial three-fourths of the infraorbital margin. (Fig. 12.2)
How to find it (practical)
Sitting with the head erect and eyes lightly closed, locate the point at the lateral one-fourth of the eye, on the infraorbital margin.
