Precautions
Needling is contraindicated in the team’s textbook. Bloodletting is described by another school and is outside the method adopted here.
Location (classical)
At the most prominent part of the lateral malleolus at the ankle.
How to find it (practical)
On the outer ankle, locate the greatest prominence of the lateral malleolus.
Atlas differences
China’s PMPH also contraindicates needling and permits moxibustion. Taiwan’s Yi Bian describes bloodletting as a variant. This atlas follows Pontos e Meridianos.
