0.5 cun within the anterior hairline, superior to the medial canthus of the eye (directly above BL-1/BL-2).
🧭 How to find it (practical)
Seated with the head supported or in dorsal decubitus, locate the point at the intersection of the horizontal line passing through Shen Ting (GV-24) and the vertical line passing through Cuan Zhu (BL-2).
🔬 Anatomy
Frontalis muscle. Innervated by the frontal nerve.
💉 Needling
0.5–1 cun obliquely in a dorsal direction, or transversely (subcutaneous).
📜 Etymology
Mei (眉), eyebrow; Chong (冲), above. The point lies on the anterior hairline, directly above the eyebrow.
