In ventral decubitus, locate the point below the spinous process of the eleventh thoracic vertebra, 3 cun lateral to Ji Zhong (GV-6).
🔬 Anatomy
Latissimus dorsi and iliocostalis thoracis muscles.
💉 Needling
Oblique insertion toward the spine, 0.3–0.5 cun.
📜 Etymology
Yi (意), idea or thought; She (舍), residence. The Pi (Spleen) stores thought. The point lies at the level of Pi Shu (BL-20), as a residence for the Qi of the Pi (Spleen).
