On the head, 1.5 cun posterior to GB-15, along the line that extends directly posterior to the pupil.
How to find it (practical)
Seated, with the head at rest, locate the point 1.5 cun directly above the anterior hairline, 1 cun posterior to Tou Lin Qi (GB-15).
Anatomy
Epicranial aponeurosis. Innervated by the supraorbital nerve.
Needling
Transverse (subcutaneous) insertion, 0.3–0.5 cun.
Etymology
Mu (目), eye; Chuang (窗), window. The point is located above the eye, like a window for the eyes, indicated for ocular disorders.
